The Role

As an Accountant, you will be directly responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions. You’ll be tasked with managing account entries, documents, payments and finances for our Client. You will also assist and report directly to the Head of Finance in the Malta office.

Main Duties:

  • Accounting for invoices and necessary accounting entries during the month;
  • Responsible for timely and accurate Monthly Closing Procedures;
  • Preparation of regulatory & Head Office reporting;
  • Assisting the Head of Finance in Annual Reports and tax declaration as needed
  • Report to management regarding the financial activity of the company;
  • Analysing and implementing possible accounting solutions for discrepancies;
  • Becoming familiar with and following internal guidelines for the position;
  • Working as part of the accounting department to keep finances running smoothly;
  • Displaying excellent time management and problem-solving skills;
  • Keeping documentation of all internal transactions;
  • Interacting with clients and managing their transactions.

The Candidate

  • The ideal candidate possesses a University Degree or equivalent Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting and/or Professional qualification ex: ACCA;
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills;
  • The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role or within the payments sector;
  • Candidates with experience in Navision accounting system will be considered as an asset.
