A global leading management corporate service providing company is seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Executive to join its office in Malta. The role will be reporting to the Assistant Manager, as well as assisting with the accounting and administration teams.

The ideal candidate will be keeping books of account of our Client’s international clientele up to trial balance stage,  and assisting in the preparation of management accounts and liaising with external auditors.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the accounting, administration, preparation, and filing of the Company accounts and tax returns, both corporate and individual clients;
  • Assisting with bank queries and correspondence;
  • Preparing bank payments and monitoring action by the bank;
  • Assisting in client work and client relations as may be required;
  • Assisting with the day to day operations of the Company and its clients;
  • Ensuring the quality of client services and adherence to their requirements in compliance with the relative laws;
  • Shared responsibilities in handling bank payments and related matters;
  • Photocopying, scanning, filing, archiving and maintenance of clients’ documents and records both in hard copy and on the electronic database;
  • Posting of payments and invoices;
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of Income Tax, VAT returns, and other relative forms;
  • Any other ancillary duties connected to the above activities;
  • Ensuring adequate support for the accounting operations and to help meet departmental targets;
  • Keeping abreast of technical and legal developments in VAT, Income Tax and Accounting Standards, including IFRS and GAPSME, also by attending relevant seminars and courses;
  • Uphold the values by promoting a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and equality;
  • Other related duties as may from time to time be reasonably required.

The Candidate

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in an organisation active in Accounting,
    Trust, Corporate or Banking sectors;
  • High School level standard of education, including Accounting and ideally AAT;
  • Strong team player with a similar experience of working in a dynamic organisation;
  • Hands-on and with attention to detail. Positive attitude towards solving
  • Collaborative and a team player;
  • Culturally sensitive and experienced in dealing with multiple nationalities,
    business cultures;
  • Ability to deal with change and to take initiative.
