A reputable and expanding credit institution, primarily based in Malta, is seeking to engage the services of a talented Associate Relationship Manager. As part of the Corporate team, the candidate is required to understand the industry the customer operates in and conduct a thorough analysis of customer information in line with the purpose of the funding.

Key responsibilities:

  • Promoting the Institution’s Corporate Products and Services;
  • Responsible for the management of credit facilities to Corporate Customers and servicing of facilities;
  • Preparing respective Credit Applications from information and documentation collected from the customers, to include facility definition, preparation of deal structuring, security, and covenants;
  • Assessing and recommending customers’ proposals in accordance with the organisation’s lending policies;
  • Offering excellent customer service to customers;
  • Assisting the Corporate Relationship Managers in meeting customer priorities as required;
  • Working in collaboration with other departments mainly Risk, Operations and Legal;
  • Preparing Corporate Reports and ad hoc matters for the Head of Corporate;
  • Contributing to the overall business results by working together with the Corporate Team and the other teams within the organisation to grow sustainable revenues and meet the overall organisation’s goals.

The Candidate

  • Possession of a Degree in related areas of Finance, Banking, Business Administration or Law;
  • Experience of a minimum of 5 years’ in banking and 3 years in a Credit role
  • Knowledge of corporate loans structuring including working capital loans and real estate financing;
  • Knowledge of other corporate products including Bank Guarantees;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and good in prioritizing, organizational and time management abilities in order to meet tight deadlines;
  • Strong communication, analytical and financial skills, ensuring clarity and accuracy when conveying information to senior/line management
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Proactive person, that understands the dynamics of working in a growing team;
  • Strong ‘team’ skills promoting an environment of co-operation and trust;
  • Positive attitude and strong self-motivation;
  • Fluent in both Maltese and English and good command of written English;
  • Literacy in MS Office applications with a particular focus on Microsoft Excel;
  • Eager for success.
