A part (or fully) qualified Accountant is sought after to join a leading fiduciary company based in Jersey, Channel Islands as Client Reporting Accountant. You will report to the Senior Manager, Accounts Department to assist with the preparation of financial statements and other client reporting in an accurate and timely manner.

A key part of the role is to maintain an awareness of the risks associated with the accounts function and adhere to those risk controls governing the accounts teams operation thus ensuring integrity at all times.

We are looking for someone to be an enthusiastic part of the Accounts team and has three years experience in preparing financial statements.

Key Scope of the Client Reporting Accountant Role:

  • Preparation of annual, semi annual and quarterly accounts within agreed time frame;
  • Preparation of ad hoc reports for internal analysis and for client information purposes;
  • Liaise directly with administrators and clients on accounting matters and resolve any queries;
  • Assist in setting up new client ledgers and the maintenance of existing.  Also assisting in the closing down of client ledgers when requested;
  • Liaise with auditors with regard to reporting and disclosure requirements and to ensure all working papers are supplied in an orderly and timely manner;
  • Assist with annual audit queries in respect of client accounts;
  • Undertake the preparation of year-end accounts planning process including discussions with the administration teams, clients and bookkeepers, assessing staff requirements and planning work allocations;
  • Bookkeeping as necessary on an ad hoc basis to ensure deadlines are met; monitoring receipt of necessary information and its accuracy and completeness.

The Candidate

  • Part or fully qualified Accountant is preferable;
  • At least 2 years’ experience preparing financial statements in similar sector (i.e Private Wealth, etc);
  • Up to date knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS;
  • Excellent knowledge of double entry bookkeeping.
