The Role

The German-speaking Content Editor will be responsible for the development of a variety of language-specific content for one of our Client’s brands. This could take the shape of reviews, articles, blogs, emails, etc. Liaising with the SEO team and cooperating with a number of departments, the content editor will be responsible for creating, updating and coordinating the site content as well as ensuring that the content being produced will result in the brand increasing online traffic, engagement and conversion.

Key responsibilities:

  • Writing, researching and publishing a variety of attractive content for one or more websites;
  • Ensuring content tasks and requests are completed in a professional and timely manner and to a high-quality standard;
  • Working closely with department teams to develop and implement content strategies and style guidelines
  • Working in collaboration, and regularly communicating with, fellow content team members and other teams to ensure all stakeholders are working together to achieve common goals for each website;
  • Using tools such as Google Analytics to track content performance;
  • Providing feedback on SEO and Product strategies to improve overall brand vision and conversion;
  • Creating online campaigns for special events relevant to the UK market;
  • Engaging in social media activities for the UK market;
  • Following market trends so that what is learned can be applied according to the needs and interests of users;
  • Proactively identifying website issues and/or potential improvements and notifying relevant stakeholders;
  • Ensuring the conversion funnel from the site to an operator’s site is always updated and relevant;
  • Proactively brainstorming innovative ideas by collaborating with fellow content team members and other teams;
  • Commissioning work to content agencies and independent freelancers.

The Candidate

  • Fluent in German, excellent written and verbal skills;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Self-motivation skills and the ability to work in an efficient, mature and professional manner, while taking pride in delivering high-quality content;
  • Great time-management skills and the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks;
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to easily proofread and spot any errors;
  • Strong creative skills and the initiative to come up with fresh ideas to improve the content and to think outside the box;
  • Degree qualification in Communication, Journalism, or a related discipline;
  • Minimum of one year’s professional experience in writing and publishing search engine optimised online content using Content Management Systems;
  • Minimum of six months’ professional experience in iGaming;
  • Image and video editing skills.
