Our Client, a leading aircraft charter company specialising in business aviation, is seeking to recruit a Head of Key Account to join their growing team in Malta. The role involves being responsible for handling very important clients. The chosen candidate will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the clients are met and maintain a long-term relationship with accounts.

Customer-focused:

  • You will interact with customers as well as develop a solid and trusting relationship between major key clients and company.
  • You’ll be the main contact responsible for client communication and oversight of the management contract while managing the daily flight requests in collaboration with OCC.
  • You’ll be requested to prepare, monitor and check all customer communication (verbal, written) of all departments towards the client and resolve client’s issues and potential complaints;

Financial control:

  • You’ll initiate and lead the preparation of the annual budget, together with Head of Finance and Head of departments;
  • You’ll prepare the monthly and quarterly customer reports and work closely with the team for informed content; revising the report format periodically to ensure they remain customer-focused and relevant;
  • Responsibility for planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals and quarterly initiatives to share with all stakeholders and possible use in future case studies or company training;
  • You’ll be accountable for budget deviations;
  • You’ll be requested to file and understand  the relevant provider contracts of each aircraft;
  • You’ll be encouraged to expand relationships, bringing in new clients by creating an industry-leading  customer experience;
  • You’ll be in charge of sending out emails/cards/gifts as appropriate on special occasions;
  • You’ll manage client assigned special projects and requests; Attention to detail is the main aspect.

Quality control:

  • You’ll play an active part in supporting credit control;
  • You’ll meet with regional clients and/or their representative in person every 3 months (subject to budget);
  • You’ll deal with all customer queries, in liaison with the Finance Manager;
  • You’ll work closely with all internal departments to proactively manage the client’s aircraft;
  • You’ll drive cost reduction Initiatives – Updating and maintaining the CRM system and database to the highest level.

The Candidate

  • Experience in Account Management or relevant industry;
  • Good problem-solving skills;
  • Great leadership skills, with the ability to coach;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Highly-motivated;
  • Multilingual would be considered an asset;
  • Permission to work in the EU;
  • Able to multitask and manage more than one client;
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to follow-through on client contracts;
  • In-depth understanding of company key clients and their position in the industry.
