Role Objectives:

  • Day-to-day operation of payment transactions, document checking, sorting, archiving and payment Support;
  • Provide back office support to Private and corporate banking;
  • Participates in the development, testing and implementation of relevant system enhancements;
  • Recommend and implement solutions on operations issues including procedures, systems design and user acceptance testing (UAT);
  • Assisting with FX payments through clients’ accounts;
  • Internal communication with regards to client funds;
  • Ensures external and regulatory requirements in the payment institutional environment are met;
  • Assists in managing the credit process from an operational perspective;
  • Assists in the preparation of sanction letters;
  • Liaises with other departments of the bank to ensure that pre-approval conditions are met with regard to credit lines;
  • Assists in the ongoing monitoring of corporate loans;
  • Assists with external and internal fraud and anti-money laundering monitoring procedures.

The Candidate

  • Diploma or degree in Banking and Finance or another related field;
  • 2-3 years’ relevant work experience in payment services including SWIFT, settlement and credit;
  • Literacy in MS Office applications with a particular focus on Microsoft Excel (e.g. Pivot tables, CSV file import, lookup functions);
  • Strong communication and analytical skills;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Ability to effectively manage operational tasks with limited supervision;
  • Ability to think on their feet and provide solutions to challenging tasks;
  • Proactive person that understands the dynamics of working in a growing team;
  • Positive attitude with the ability to motivate themselves and their team to achieve results;
  • Experience in I.T. programming and/or security will be considered an asset.
