The Role

The function of the Personal Lines Administrator role is to serve clients with utmost respect and great customer service by processing of home and motor insurance renewals, amendments, new insurance policies and quotes for insurance brokers as well as other intermediaries.

  • Dealing directly with clients with regards to any motor or home queries, via phone, e-mail or in person;
  • Issuing new policies for clients and other parties, also including renewing, amending and quoting.
  • Auditing of new policies from brokers and intermediaries;
  • Dealing with daily cash income from clients and equally balancing the entries by the end of each day;
  • Aiding the senior personal lines underwriter with any other matters necessary;
  • Other tasks as determined by management.

The Candidate

  • Certificate in insurance (CII);
  • 1 year experience in an insurance working environment;
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft word and excel;
  • Fluent in the English language, both spoken and written;
  • Ability to work in a team environment and meet goals;
  • Ability to work on own initiative;
  • Ability to operate effectively in a busy environment, ensuring deadlines are met;
  • Enthusiastic, personable, energetic;
  • Proactive, able to work on own initiative;
