The Role

Our client is looking for a Senior Fund Accountant to join their growing team in Jersey carrying out routine day-to-day accounting of fund structures. This role reports directly to the Financial Reporting Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing routine audit queries;
  • Bookkeeping a range of associated fund structures, including an array of funds and management firms;
  • Maintain accurate records on eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of accounting;
  • Deal with the preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns;
  • Work closely with clients and intermediaries as necessary;
  • Prepare bank reconciliations whilst providing the supporting documentation;
  • Handle accounting matters with regards to a portfolio fund structures;
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff under the supervision of senior staff.

The Candidate

  • The candidate will be expected to be studying towards a relevant professional qualification (preferably having commenced ACCA Professional level or ACA Advanced level);
  • Sound technical financial services knowledge;
  • Computer literacy skills are essential.
