Boston Link is delighted to be recruiting for a System Administrator for our client, active in providing the most innovative payment solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, planning, and implementation of IT infrastructure based on industry best practices and security standard. You will ensure all IT systems are functioning properly including Cloud platforms, application servers, database servers, CCTV, PABX, TCP/IP network and VPN connection.

Other Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for administration of firewall, switch, Wi-Fi, antivirus, web filtering, internet connection;
  • Oversee daily IT system operations and performance monitoring such as health check, backup, system optimisation, change implementation, system integration, security enhancement;
  • Take appropriate and timely action to analyse, isolate and diagnose IT problems, and provide corrective, preventive and improvement recommendation;
  • Liaise and negotiate with vendors or suppliers on quotation for setup, implementation, repair, and maintenance of IT hardware & software;
  • Provide IT support, and maintain knowledge base for on-going support and training;
  • Test and deploy software updates and security patches in regular basis;
  • ·Develop automated scripts to facilitate operational tasks;
  • Perform ad hoc task and project implementation as assigned by supervisor.

The Candidate

  • Degree holder in Information Technology or equivalent;
  • Minimum 2 years solid hands-on experience in IT infrastructure administration;
  • Experience in enterprise network and security design and implementation;
  • Experience in Cloud platforms ( Azure / AWS ), O365, Microsoft platform, Linux platform ( Ubuntu ), Database servers, VMWare;
  • Knowledge of VBScript, Powershell, Shell Script;
  • Knowledge in supporting and troubleshooting common application platform such as Apache, Nginx, MySQL Tomcat;
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills;
  • Willing to work in non-office hour when necessary (for fixing critical issue / schedule maintenance);
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, and able to work independently and under pressure.
