Your Responsibilities include:
  • Understanding the Group’s financial reporting processes;
  • Running monthly consolidations and sub-consolidations in SAP FC, evaluating inter-company balances, supporting the accountants in resolving and correcting inter-company differences and processing journals;
  • Producing and examining monthly consolidated management accounts whilst ensuring that all reporting deadlines are met;
  • Supporting the Group’s external auditors with the annual audit of consolidated financial figures by presenting supporting information;
  • Helping with the preparation the year-end consolidated financial statements and notes to the financial statements in accordance with IFRS;
  • Adding to the enhancement of quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the Group financial reporting processes;
  • Helping with the implementation of SAP consolidation related IT and business projects;
  • Aiding the Group consolidation team with functional reports, data processing and validation;
  • Developing and maintaining a positive relationship between external suppliers, internal IT team and the finance team to ensure continuous business support.
Required:
  • Highly motivated team player, taking full responsibility for work that has been assigned resulting in consistent, timely and accurate reporting;
  • Experience of working on the group consolidated accounts, preferably experienced in SAP accounting systems;
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, experienced at an advanced level in Microsoft Excel is required;
  • Experience in CaseWare software is a plus;
  • ACCA, Bachelor’s or equivalent in Accountancy, with in-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) required;
  • A strong communicator (both oral and written) and be proficient at interpreting and communicating technical accounting issues;
  • Easily intrigued and analytical with the ability to understand the commercial and operational side of the business and link it to the financial performance and metrics that are being reported;
  • Flexible with a positive attitude and capable of working under pressure and independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
