Responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing the Finance Team by giving on-going training and development;
  • Managing, assisting with and producing monthly & statutory reports;
  • Liaising with Auditors on all engagements;
  • Coordination of the Asset Liability Committee by scheduling meetings, presenting documentation, following-up on action items;
  • Administering the organisation liquidity/short term positions;
  • Producing financial management and supporting the business to achieve its financial goals;
  • Leading the departmental budgets and forecasts process, liaising with all stakeholders in an appropriate manner;
  • Ensuring the quarterly VAT returns are completed on time;
  • Working closely with various teams to maximise profits, further enhance decision-making, and ultimately drive financial transparency across the organisation;
  • Establishing and maintaining a robust controlled environment providing mitigation and minimisation of risks of fraud and error in the books;
  • Establishing, maintaining and reviewing a suitable system of recording and monitoring internal and external audit recommendations relating to the workings of the finance department.
Requirements:
  • Experience in leading a team is required;
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in a senior accounting function;
  • In possession of Accounting qualification, ACCA qualification or similar;
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills;
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel (knowledge with POWER BI or similar considered an asset);
  • In-depth knowledge of major accounting software packages;
  • Knowledge and understanding of ICAAP, ILAAP and BRRD processes will be considered an asset;
  • Ability to work under pressure and under minimal supervision;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new complex or more difficult tasks;
  • Proven ability to review and challenge assumptions within detailed financial forecasts.
