Main responsibilities:
  • Assigned by the Head of PMQ or Deputy, responsibility for the execution and delivery of one or more projects, ranging from large strategic projects to smaller tactical efforts;
  • Act as a member of a front-line team in a unified PMQ framework;
  • Understand the needs of stakeholders and provide ongoing support throughout the project lifetime, ensuring that any decisions taken have a measurable impact on the organization's on-demand capacity and contingency planning;
  • Define the scope of the project, establish project milestones, and justify the budget;
  • To ensure compliance with agreed-upon project deliverables, act as a central point of contact for internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the organisation's project and program management techniques are strictly followed;
  • Take overall responsibility for project execution, ensuring strict adherence to SLAs and agreed-upon timelines;
  • Understand the needs of stakeholders and give continuing support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that any decisions taken have a measurable impact on the organization's capacity and contingency planning;
  • Participate in project planning and preparation for status meetings with project stakeholders;
  • Take overall responsibility for project execution, ensuring strict adherence to agreed-upon schedules and timely completion of project reporting;
  • Maintain an accurate and unbiased representation of project-related risks, with timely escalation;
  • Conduct any other related activities that the function's management may assign from time to time;
  • The role may entail off-site participation in order to attend meetings with external consultants or software providers. In order to maintain adherence to SLAs, the function may additionally need activities outside of office hours to address critical issues or recover impacted schedules.
 Your Profile:  
  • Have a strong academic foundation in business, information technology, and/or change management, or have an equivalent professional qualification;
  • Have a National Qualification Framework Level 6 or higher academic certification in a relevant field of study, confirmed by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC), or a widely recognized professional qualification at a comparable level;
  • Possession of a minimum of five (5) years of Project Management experience, as well as demonstrable management skills and an established track record of leading a team;
  • Our client would still be interested in speaking with you if you do not have the required academic or professional degrees but have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience;
  • Business modelling, business process improvement methodologies, change implementation and planning, data analysis, organizational design, requirements development, stakeholder relationship management, and system design are all required skills;
  • Must be able to produce requirements statements utilizing a range of methodologies and procedures, both orally and in writing;
  • Must have excellent documentation skills and a thorough understanding of the organisation's key objectives and strategic aims;
  • Must be conversant with IT practice standards both domestically and internationally;
  • Must be well-versed in the usage of technology in the financial services business;
  • Able to facilitate both remote and face-to-face meetings are required;
  • Need to be a good negotiator;
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with varied team members;
  • Must be willing to work as part of a team and actively encourage team spirit;
  • Strong writing and spoken communication abilities are required;
  • In doing the job, you must be precise and organised;
  • Ideally, you should be well-versed in the financial services industry.
