The Role:
Our Client is searching for an experienced, creative, vocal, and highly driven Senior Flight Dispatcher with the eagerness to communicate with customers as part of the team when needed to support our Operations Control Centre department.

To meet the requirements for this role, excellent manners, team spirit, and remarkable interpersonal skills are required.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Flight scheduling (permits for overflight/landing, handling and fuel arrangements, and other supplemental services);
  • Flight dispatch and operations control (flight planning, crew briefing, meteo and NOTAM analysis, crew control, irregularity handling, and emergency reaction);
  • Airport and Route evaluations and sustainability checks to support commercial and flight operations department;
  • Analysis of costs and coordination with the accounting department;
  • Collaboration with the AOC team
  • Ground operations activities;
  • Review and analysis of Covid restrictions;
  • Operational administration;
  • Crew communication;
  • Administrative duties pertaining to the flight dispatch department;
  • Customer communication;
  • Liaison between the customer and the Company internal department to meet customer requirements.
Qualifications and experience shall include:
  • At least five (5) years' experience in a VIP flight dispatch setting with global flight operations (dispatch certificate or dispatch license, as well as ETOPS experience, are a plus);
  • Ability to decipher weather and NOTAM information, as well as NAV maps for airports and airspace;
  • Knowledge of aircraft performance (ideally with wide-body aircraft), international laws, EASA rules, the operations manual (OM), and flight entry requirements;
  • Proactive with great organisational skills, a team-oriented, flexible approach, and the ability to provide solid outcomes under pressure;
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities in English; additional languages will be preferred;
  • IT skills/experience in dispatch-related software, such as flight planning systems (e.g., Jet planner), SITA/AFTN communications, scheduling/ops control systems, and Microsoft Office applications;
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including night shifts;
  • Unless you already live in Malta, you must be willing to relocate;
  • Excellent ability to handle high-pressure and critical situations;
  • Ability to communicate effectively;
  • Ability to handle a large workload;
  • Ability to respond to consumer inquiries;
  • Effective communication allowing you to better understand the requirements and expectations of your customers;
  • Developing client connections based on trust and respect;
  • Candidates must be eligible to work and reside within Europe.
