Ideal for someone with experience in Accounting and Taxation fields and whom is looking to grow in his/her career within the Accounting and Finance Team
Primary duties:
- Preparing and assist in the preparation of the monthly management Financial Statements
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly Budgets and regular forecasts together with the head of finance
- Preparing and assist in the calculation of the workings of the VAT Return and other indirect taxation documents such as the recap statements and the intra-stats submissions
- Mentor and motivate the accounts staff in the accounts payable area of the company, in line with the culture of the company
- Approve all payable invoices and payments and ensure that all documents are in line with the fiscal laws
- Setting up the PO system in the company and other new programs and technologies needed from time to time
- Assist in opening of Bank Accounts and related KYC that bank require from time to time
- Proposing, drafting, and executing policies and procedures to administer the Finance Department and other areas of the business where Finance is involved within the company in collaboration with the Head of Finance
- Actively looking for and proposing improvement to the manual and electronic processes utilized in the Finance Department to carry out day-to-day activities
- Act as a reliever to our Financial Revenue Team Lead and the revenue side of the company
- Assist in the complex bank reconciliations
Requirements:
- Possess an ECDL certification or good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of XERO accounting software is preferred however training will be given
- A minimum of 5-year experience working in various parts of the finance department
- Must possess either a university degree in Accounting (from Malta) or Passed Taxation (MLA), Financial Reporting, Corporate and Business Law (MLA) and the Financial Management module from the ACCA qualification
- Have an eye for detail and an ability to relate well to people
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
- Ideally have keen interest in crypto currencies and Commercial and Taxation Maltese law
- Ideally previous experience in i-gaming or affiliate company
