The Compliance Analyst will provide legal, compliance and administrative support by assisting with compliance and KYC related matters, working directly with the MLRO to ensure the company’s goals are met within the deadlines, ensure up-to-date record keeping and managing a variety of administrative and
compliance duties.

1. Updating of Structure charts, Staff Handbook, Company policies, Compliance & Training logbooks etc.
2. Assistance with reviewing of agreements, drafting of resolutions, drafting of letters for the MFSA
3. Reviewing regulatory newsletters
4. Assistance on general compliance matters
5. Assisting the MLRO in;
- Compiling due diligence documentation for the Company and related entities upon request
- Follow up on quarterly staff declarations / notifications
- Assistance during offsite compliance monitoring reviews
6. Understanding the compliance and regulatory requirements and assist in improving the administrative processes for a more efficient workflow
7. Keeping abreast with regulatory changes and assistance on implementation of such changes
8. Miscellaneous tasks which will vary e.g. completing some corporate governance reporting (to ensure that the business is being run properly and complying with legislation and regulations) or conducting research
9. Assistance in the compiling of Board Packs
10. Assistance in the drafting of Board Minutes
11. Submission of regulatory returns for MFSA, FCA and the Malta Business Registry
12. Forming part of the Group’s GDPR working group
13. Other administrative matters:
- Compiling and preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Managing databases and filing systems
- Implementing and maintaining procedures / administrative systems
- Co-ordinates meetings with team and Board members
- Updating the Malta team with regulatory updates and implementation of Company policies e.g. ESG team days, new software implemented, Business Continuing Testing, clear desk policy, etc.

The candidates that are suitable for the role to include:

- Previous experience in a law firm, legal department, or a similar role
- Diploma in Law (or equivalent)
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently
- Self-motivated with high-performance standards, able to work independently and as a part of a team
- Enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate sound judgement with a high level of diplomacy and confidentiality
- Be a team player, dealing effectively with team members and senior management
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
