As a Junior Accountant you'll play a crucial role in managing all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. From reconciling bank statements to calculating tax payments and returns, your keen eye for detail and problem-solving attitude will be essential. You'll also provide valuable support to their team and CFO, contributing to the smooth operation of our business.
Your role
- Track invoices, support Project Leader & CFO with admin tasks
- Manage accounting transactions, reconcile accounts payable/receivable
- Prepare budget forecasts, and publish timely financial statements
- Handle closings, manage balance sheets and P&L statements
- Monitor financial health, liquidity, and sales team goals
- Ensure data confidentiality, conduct database backups
- Comply with financial policies, initiate/manage accounting software
- Support the team with administrative tasks related to events, deals, employee needs, government-related requirements, etc.
About You
- Work experience as an Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures in Malta, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like Xero
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
