Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Clients’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network and infrastructure solutions. The candidate must have strong knowledge of Network, Infrastructure, Operating Systems, VMWare, cloud technologies (with a focus on AWS), Storage solutions, Security, Database management, Performance Monitoring, and Container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, stability, and security of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and maintain network and infrastructure solutions that support the organization's objectives and technical requirements, while ensuring the highest levels of security.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and optimize existing network and infrastructure systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
3. Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure through regular monitoring, updates, and maintenance.
4. Manage the deployment, integration, and operation of server systems, storage solutions, virtualization technologies such as VMWare and cloud platforms, with a focus on AWS.
5. Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure and sensitive data.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, infrastructure, and security issues, collaborating with team members and external vendors as needed.
7. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network and infrastructure configurations, procedures, and best practices.
8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
9. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the organization's infrastructure remains current and competitive.
10. Participate in the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
11. Manage database systems, ensuring efficient backup and restore processes for SQL Server or similar platforms.
12. Monitor and optimize the performance of network, storage, application, and operating systems, leveraging deep understanding of various performance metrics.
13. Design, deploy, and manage container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, demonstrating hands-on experience in setting up these systems.


Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in network and infrastructure engineering, including experience with Network, Infrastructure, Operating Systems, VMWare, cloud technologies, Storage solutions, Security, Database management, Performance Monitoring, and Container technologies.
3. Strong understanding of networking protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
4. Experience with various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and UNIX.
5. In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and familiarity with other platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
6. Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMWare and Hyper-V.
7. Experience with storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and object storage.
8. Strong knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.
9. Expertise in database management, specifically with backup and restore processes in SQL Server or similar platforms.
10. Deep understanding of container technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, with hands-on experience in setting up and managing these systems.
11. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
13. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, VCP, CKA, CKAD, or MCSE are preferred.
