The Head of SEO will be the driving force behind our SEO strategy and will manage the SEO team within our shared resources department. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive SEO strategy, overseeing on-page and off-page optimization, and ensuring technical SEO excellence. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in helping and assigning SEO resources to dedicated casino and betting teams, maximizing organic search visibility and growth in these specific sectors.
 
The Head of SEO will be a pivotal figure in our digital marketing efforts, responsible for driving organic growth, optimising our online presence, and strategically allocating SEO resources to dedicated casino and betting teams, ensuring our success in the competitive iGaming and gambling affiliate marketing space.
 
What you’ll do
  • Develop and Implement SEO Strategy:
    • Create a comprehensive SEO strategy that aligns with business goals and KPIs.
    • Define clear objectives, key results, and a roadmap for SEO growth across all teams.
  • On-Page SEO:
    • Lead the optimization for on-page elements, including content, meta tags, headings, and internal linking.
    • Conduct keyword research and develop content strategies tailored to the casino and betting sectors.
  • Off-Page SEO:
    • Manage link-building efforts to improve the website's authority and backlink profile, with a focus on casino and betting content.
    • Collaborate with content creators to promote relevant content and build relationships with industry influencers.
  • Technical SEO:
    • Ensure the website is technically sound for search engines, addressing issues that impact casino and betting teams.
    • Oversee website audits, resolve issues, and implement best practices for technical SEO in these specific sectors.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
    • Set SEO performance goals and measure them using KPIs, such as organic traffic, search rankings, search engine visibility, and click-through rate
    • Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like GA4 and other SEO software.
    • Provide regular reports on SEO KPIs, trends, and insights to stakeholders in casino and betting teams.
  • Team Management and Resource Allocation:
    • Build and lead the existing on-page and off-page SEO teams, with a focus on assigning SEO resources to dedicated casino and betting teams.
    • Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to team members across all sectors.
  • Collaboration with Dedicated Teams:
    • Work closely with casino and betting teams to understand their specific SEO needs and develop strategies to meet their objectives.
  • Stay Current with SEO Trends:
    • Keep abreast of industry changes and emerging SEO trends, especially in the iGaming and betting sectors.
    • Implement new strategies and techniques to maintain a competitive edge.
The ideal candidate should have 
  • 4+ years of experience working as a Head of SEO or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in SEO, with a track record of successfully growing organic search traffic in the iGaming or affiliate marketing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficient in SEO tools and analytics platforms.
  • Leadership experience in managing and mentoring an SEO team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Adept at staying updated on search engine algorithm changes and industry developments, particularly in the iGaming and betting sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the unique SEO challenges within the casino and betting niches.
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Mobile optimisation expertise, ensuring our digital presence is mobile-friendly and responsive, especially for SERP purposes.
  • Experience in building websites from the ground up.
