Product Overview:

The company plans to launch Euro and US denominated electronic money tokens (Tokens) compliant with MiCA regulations, developed on ERC20/BEP20 standards and deployed on Ethereum and BNB blockchain networks. Token lifecycle management, including minting, burning, and role assignment, is handled by audited smart contracts controlled by an administrator Wallet Address and secured using MPC technology. The proprietary platform interfaces with these contracts, facilitating seamless creation and redemption transactions. While initially targeting legal entities, both legal and natural persons have the ability to redeem Tokens at par value. Tokens will predominantly be available on centralised and decentralised exchanges, facilitated through relationships with market makers. The existing platform is ready for deployment but is not yet operational.

Job Overview:

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the technological infrastructure of our client's electronic money business. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CTO will be an experienced, execution-focused leader capable of evaluating technical decisions through the lens of business growth and engaging in strategic planning discussions. The CTO will also oversee the company’s strategy concerning the implementation of DORA and management of its ICT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have held senior technical positions within an electronic money institution.


Leadership & Team Management:
  • Lead and manage the engineering team, including software developers, engineers, and technical specialists.
  • Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and foster a culture of innovation.

Platform Development & Performance:
  • Oversee the development of the electronic money platform, including the creation of new features, updates, and enhancements.
  • Define and maintain the platform's technical architecture, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and adaptable to future requirements.
  • Select and manage the technology stack, programming languages, and frameworks used in platform development to optimize performance and maintainability.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient development processes.

Security & Compliance:
  • Implement robust security measures, encryption protocols, and best practices to safeguard customer data and financial transactions, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, COO, product manager, MLRO, and risk manager to ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and industry standards.

Quality Assurance & Documentation:
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance processes, including testing methodologies, automated testing frameworks, and code reviews to ensure platform reliability and accuracy.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation detailing system architecture, APIs, and development guidelines.

Incident Response:
  • Develop and maintain an incident response plan in conjunction with the product manager and technical team to address technical issues, security breaches, or system outages promptly and effectively.
