Credit Analyst\Trader

• Preferably already PQ'ed by MFSA
• Preferably CFA, CISI qualified or Bachelor's degree in finance /economics

 
Key responsibilities:

• Trading support:
  • o Execute trades; monitor market conditions in order to achieve the best execution in terms of price and market impact; maintain and update trading records; book transactions on PMS, ensuring accuracy in the databases
• Currency risk hedging
  • o Quantify currency exposures and minimize currency risk by implementing an FX hedging model; execute FX hedging transactions including forwards
• Marketing support:
  • o Prepare and update marketing materials based on various metrics for the performance of the fund and the composition of the portfolio
• Credit analysis:
  • o Provide credit research and analysis of high-yield bond issuers, monitor bonds’ performance and industry trends in order to assess creditworthiness and valuations and provide analysis findings for discussion with the portfolio management team.
  • o Monitor issuer-specific, market and economic news, and assess their potential impact on pricing and spreads
  • o Continuous review and analysis of the composition of the portfolio and the main drivers of the holdings and signal developments that could impact the portfolio

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • o Preferably CFA, CISI qualified or Bachelor’s degree in finance /economics.
  • o Preferably already PQ’ed by MFSA
• Experience:
  • o Preferably minimum 2 years experience in Fixed Income Analysis or Financial Markets.
• Skills:
  • o Proficiency in MS Office, Bloomberg is a plus
  • o Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
