Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive QA Automation Engineer to lead their Quality Assurance efforts. As the first dedicated QA team member, this role will set the standard for quality within the tech team, establishing foundational practices and frameworks to enhance product reliability.

You will be tasked with designing and executing both automated and manual testing to ensure optimal functionality, performance, and user experience across web applications.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Automated Testing Development: Build and maintain test automation frameworks, ideally using Selenium, to support streamlined testing across multiple web applications;
  • Manual Testing Execution: Perform manual testing for new features to validate functionality and user experience;
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: Leverage technical expertise to identify, debug, and resolve issues uncovered during testing;
  • Test Case Creation: Design, document, and carry out comprehensive test cases covering functional, regression, and end-to-end testing;
  • Data Verification: Ensure accuracy and consistency of content, data, and features, particularly on casino and sports-related platforms;
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with developers, product managers, and other team members to align on quality standards and expectations;
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of testing procedures, outcomes, and any defects identified;
  • Quality Advocacy: Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, advocating for enhanced testing efficiency and product quality.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks, ideally with Selenium, and experience in scripting/coding for automation purposes;
  • Proven experience in manual testing, especially within complex, feature-rich web environments;
  • Familiarity with online gambling platforms (casino/sports betting) to ensure feature logic and data relevance;
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities;
  • Clear, concise communication skills to articulate findings and work collaboratively with stakeholders;
  • Ability to independently manage QA responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the online gambling industry or a similarly dynamic sector;
  • Background in software development or a technical discipline;
  • Familiarity with continuous integration tools and agile methodologies.
