Analyst, Compliance Support Role

The Company

This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring professionals within the financial services industry to join a renowned international firm specializing in Risk - Compliance - Governance.
My client is a leading regulatory hosting firm based in the UK and in Malta which manages over $9b in assets. Role is based in Sliema, Malta. Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to visit the client's London office on various occasions in order to integrate with the wider team. I am also open in speaking with recent graduates who are looking to learn about this exciting new opportunity.

The role
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of functions, which include:
➢ Setting up trading relationships for external clientele on our client's platform;
➢ Completing due diligence requests by various service providers;
➢ Preparing reports for several internal and external meetings, including Investment Committees and Board meetings, whilst also taking minutes for such meetings;
➢ Working closely with the Risk Team to ensure timely filing of regulatory reports;
➢ Understanding and keeping up-to-date with current regulations and developments in the regulatory space.
The successful candidate should also be able to support the firm in the risk and business development if required.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate must:

➢ Be hardworking and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision, as well as be able to work in a team;
➢ Have excellent writing skills and be fluent in English;
➢ Be able to work under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines without losing eye for detail;
➢ Possess excellent organisational and interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, whilst also being diligent and proactive;
➢ Preferred educational background: Banking, Finance, Economics or Law.

It would be highly beneficial if the candidate already has basic knowledge in financial products, hedge fund trading strategies and the regulatory environment.
