The Deputy CAM will assume responsibility for the control and supervision of the subcontractor and ensure compliance with Continued Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME), Company procedures and EASA Part M (G) regulation.
 
Key responsibilities: 
  • Reviewing and accepting any subcontracted assessment of Airworthiness Directives/Alert SB’s;
  • Maintaining visibility and oversight of the sub-contractors assessment of OEM Service information;
  • Ensuring all maintenance is carried out on time to an approved organisation, in accordance with the approved Maintenance Programme;
  • Controlling and presenting the aircraft’s Maintenance Programme and its amendments to the competent authority for approval;
  • Reviewing and analysis of the effectiveness of aircraft maintenance programmes and the reliability program as conducted by the sub-contractor;
  • Controlling the approval of modification and repairs and reviewing sub-contractor updates to aircraft records and application of instructions for continued airworthiness and updates to AFM’s;
  • Working together with the sub-contractor to plan and review the intended schedule to assure the correct application of the maintenance program whilst meeting our clients' schedules with minimum possible downtime;
  • Providing expertise in the application of the regulation as applied to the fleets' continued airworthiness;

  • Supporting airworthiness and operational requirements of aircraft entering and leaving the fleet;
  • Supporting the Post holder Part M Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) on a day to day basis in exercising airworthiness management and control of the fleet and contribute to continual improvement;
  • Contributing to amendment and approval of documents approved by the competent authority;
  • Attending mandated meetings in support of the Organisation’s Management Manual (OMM) and the CAME where the CAM cannot attend;
  • Promoting a safety culture and proactively reporting internal occurrences, un-safe practices and support resolution of non-compliances and occurrences;
  • Reviewing the mass and balance statements for quality and suitability as produced by the sub-contractor;
  • Undertaking ARC Review and ARC Extension responsibilities when it doesn’t conflict with the independence of other duties.
Candidate Requirements:
  • An appropriate Part-66 licence or an aeronautical/engineering degree or equivalent from a recognised Technical College or University;
  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in maintenance or continuing airworthiness of aircraft;
  • Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices;
  • Knowledge of:
    • Part M and Part 145 regulations,
    • Operational requirements and procedures,
    • Quality/Compliance Systems,
    • Maintenance Practices, Aircraft support programs and warranty constraints affecting airworthiness decisions.
  • Knowledge of usual office software and aviation software (CAMP/CMP/FOS/MS Project);
  • Excellent command of English. A command of German would be an added bonus;
  • Availability and flexibility to cover weekend duties;
  • A high degree of personal integrity, capable of remote working/autonomy/self-motivation;
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and diplomacy.
