Our Projects: Doing our bit in society

Zibel

Beach Clean up

Zibel are a local NGO who work on waste management, education and awareness solutions. Their projects aim to promote good environmental practices and sustainable development.

We teamed and sponsored their monthly beach clean-up. Their volunteers, our team, kiddos and doggos all joined forces at St.George's bay in Marsaxlokk, to do our bit for the environment and island.

What an incredible effort from all the volunteers and divers. We are so proud to have been involved. 1,300 KG of rubbish collected from land and sea: plastic, glass, metal, fishing gear, car tires, shoes, a boat and even a toilet seat!

Natures Trust

We've adopted turtles!

We’ve teamed up with Natures Trust and have adopted 3 loggerhead turtles; Sami, Yosu and Atua. These poor turtles have had serious injuries such as being tangled up in fishing nets, being run over by boats and even missing a flipper! They have been in rehab for over a year now. By adopting them, we are funding their medical care, treatments and rehab, before being released back in to the wild. We can’t wait to watch their release!

Karl Vella Foundation

Mount Kilimanjaro

“Turning grief into purpose” Mateusz Rostkowski, a sibling to one of our employees took on Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa in aid of the Karl Vella foundation. They support families going through grief, which is something Mateusz experienced. "Not only is the Karl Vella Foundation supporting kids going through grief but whole families"

This took them through temperature extremes, from the warm and humid rainforest to the dry and icy-cold summit, where the temperature dropped to -15 degrees Celsius on the final day of their ascent.

Charity raffle

Victory Kitchen is a food charity in Malta operating through a network of local restaurants, social workers, and logistics companies that create a sustainable and long-term plan of delivering food to those families hit hardest by the pandemic and beyond. Victory Kitchen has been running for the last 2 years and has helped over 28,000 families.

Founder Rafel Sammut has said “Victory Kitchen now has a strong purpose within the local community, we have grown incredibly and are now moving to a larger kitchen to withstand the demand.”

We had some incredible partners who donated towards our raffle on the night (Xara Collection, Ta Betta Wine Estate, Hilton Malta, Briju Malta, PG Group, VJ Salomone, Franks, Deep Nature Spa). We donated €2,400 towards the incredible charity that help the ones suffering in daily silence.

Ukraine Fundraising Dinner

We attended an all-inclusive relief dinner at the beautiful Gracy's in Valletta. With live entertainment and an auction, this event was all in aid of raising funds to assist the ongoing suffering of the civilian population in Ukraine.

They raised approximately an incredible €20,000, with all the funds going to MOAS, an international humanitarian organisation that brings emergency medical aid and assistance to the conflict-affected civilians of Ukraine.

Fondazzjoni Sebh

Fondazzjoni Sebħ are an incredible charity that strives to nurture an environment for growth, recovery and fulfillment ensuring the dignity and value of each individual, children and families for a more inclusive society. They accompany children and families in their journey towards reaching their full potential by providing community, residential, and educational therapeutic services. We know our donation will go a long way.

Canine Search and Rescue Team

The Order of Malta

The Order was founded in 1099 and was traditionally of military, chivalrous, noble nature. The Order has many roles in service to the vulnerable and the sick. It runs medical, social and humanitarian projects in 120 countries. The Order’s modern day mission is largely focused on providing humanitarian assistance and aids victims of natural disasters, epidemics and war. Their mission is to train a team of canines and handlers to search for and rescue people in distress in Malta and overseas.

As part of our recent CSR Projects, we've made a donation to the Order of Malta: Canine Search and Rescue team. We are so proud to know that our donation has gone a long way and assisted this voluntary organisation with medical gear required.

Team Leader & Search Manager, Simon Briffa said: "Our team finally got their hands on some long-awaited medical gear! Medical training is a big part of what we do and it's essential that we incorporate this element into our training routines."
