Our client a medium sized, well established regulated online brokerage is looking to hire a Compliance Officer for their Cyprus Operations. The company has a low employee turnover, offers a secure working environment and is dedicated to providing exceptional trading services to clients while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will be monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop internal practices, processes, procedures, and controls to meet CySEC and other regulatory requirements.
  • Handle account opening procedures for high-risk individuals and corporates.
  • Transaction monitoring
  • Review and approve marketing material for regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in handling client complaints and monitor complaint resolutions.
  • Assist in best execution monitoring and detecting suspicious trading activities.
  • Prepare reports for regulatory authorities and management.
  • Ensure the company website complies with legal requirements.
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Organize and maintain compliance-related records and files.
  • Develop, implement, and administer the Company’s AML & Compliance Program.
  • Maintain internal AML/CFT compliance manuals, policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Review new regulations and advise on their impact on company operations.
  • Provide reports to senior management and the Board on compliance progress.
  • Handle legal matters and other compliance issues as they arise.


Qualifications and experience needed:

  • University degree in Law/ Finance/ Economics/ Mathematics or related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position
  • Good knowledge of MiFID II and AML legislation
  • CySEC Advanced Certificate is a must
  • CySEC AML certification is considered an advantage
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving skills, flexibility and adaptability
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Fluent in English and Greek will be considered as a very strong advantage
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
