As Legal Counsel based in Malta, you will work under the direct supervision of the General Counsel and engage closely with various internal teams across the organization. What You'll Do: - Contract Management: Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts, including software licenses, distribution agreements, outsourcing agreements, and other legal documents related to business operations.
- Legal Advisory: Provide legal advice on IP, data protection, commercial, and contract law matters.
- Day-to-Day Support: Work closely with various departments, offering daily legal support and collaborating on business goals.
- Project Involvement: Participate in diverse projects managed by or involving the Legal team.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with developments in gambling regulations, ensuring risk mitigation and compliance with local laws.
- Training and Presentations: Deliver presentations and training to internal stakeholders to promote an understanding of contract importance and legal processes.
- Corporate Affairs: Assist with corporate affairs and ensure proper legal documentation.
- Process Improvement: Refine existing agreements and develop new templates or processes to help streamline the legal team’s workload while protecting against potential risks.
- Additional Support: Support any other tasks required to meet business needs.
Who You Are: - Qualifications: University Law Degree (preferably from Malta) with 3-4 years of experience, either in-house or in private practice.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in the iGaming industry is beneficial, though experience in related fields is also welcome.
- Legal Skills: Demonstrable experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal agreements.
- Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge in employment, IP, data protection, corporate, and commercial law is an asset.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, approachable, and capable of effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical and Strategic: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and recommend best-fit solutions.
- Self-Motivated: Proactive and self-driven with strong organizational and time-management abilities, able to prioritize under pressure.
