Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage reconciliation processes and ensure smooth data and fund flows.
- Oversee daily settlement, reconciliation, and reporting for card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
- Identify and escalate issues, ensuring they are properly logged and resolved.
- Maintain segregation of client funds in line with regulatory standards.
- Review and update Safeguarding and Outsourcing Policies to comply with MFSA, EMD2, and PSD2.
- Work with the tech team to automate reconciliation, tracking, and reporting processes.
- Reconcile card scheme fees, assessments, and interchange with accuracy.
- Coordinate with Finance teams to report monthly activities and exceptions.
- Prepare and distribute reports for internal stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with banks, processors, and card networks.
- Support internal and external queries, including those from merchants, partners, and business teams.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk reduction.
- Support audit requests and assist with ad hoc business projects.
- Degree in Banking, Accounting, or Finance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in financial services, particularly card acquiring, is an asset.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent numerical skills and proficiency in Excel.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated team player, able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
