Undertake other ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Main Responsibilities:
Review and assist in preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring Revenue and Deferred Income accuracy, preparing schedules and journals, and analysing variances against budgets.
Prepare regulatory reporting as required, including returns for MFSA, FCA, CFR, and HMRC.
Assist with yearly audits and half-yearly reports.
Review bank reconciliations and payments prepared by staff, and support day-to-day banking activities.
Support the Financial Controller in managing the team, with potential direct reports of junior staff.
Ensure daily processes and internal controls are followed, supporting junior staff and recommending improvements.
Undertake other ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Experience and Skills Required:
Experience with a Big 4 or mid-tier audit/accounting firm is desirable.
2–4 years post-qualification experience preferred; candidates with at least 4 years in audit/accounting and in final stages of ACCA (or equivalent) will be considered.
Hands-on, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong team player.
