This role will oversee AML/CFT obligations, regulatory reporting, and internal compliance frameworks, while promoting a culture of integrity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance with MFSA and FIAU regulations, including AML/CFT obligations.
- Maintain and update compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Implement and manage AML/CFT frameworks (CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening).
- Support the MLRO and liaise with regulators.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and deliver staff training.
- Collaborate across departments to embed compliance into business processes.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Law, Criminology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a compliance role, ideally within a CSP or financial services firm.
- Strong knowledge of Maltese regulatory frameworks (AML/CFT legislation).
- Experience with MFSA and FIAU is a plus.
- Professional certifications (ICA, ACAMS) are advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
