An international insurance company is looking to hire a Financial Controller to join their team in Malta. Responsible for leading management reporting and planning across European entities, ensuring accurate accounts, meaningful analysis, and robust forecasting. Works closely with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams while developing and leading the regional finance team.
Responsibilities: - Deliver monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, including cash flow and scenario analysis.
- Produce and enhance MI reporting to support business performance and decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy and drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with statutory reporting teams to ensure alignment between management and financial reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the regional finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements: - As a minimum, part ACCA qualified.
- Insurance experience (2-5 years).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Teamwork demonstrated, along with working on own.
- Proactive in identifying issues and proposing solutions to colleagues at all levels, including senior management.
- Excellent and inclusive communication skills with colleagues at all levels.
- Advanced Excel skills.
