This backend-focused role sits at the core of the Platform Team, building highly scalable, resilient services that support mission-critical gaming systems. You’ll work on complex backend architectures, APIs, data flows, and platform stability—where performance, reliability, and clean design truly matter.
  
The Role
As a Backend Software Developer within the Platform Team, you’ll focus on designing, developing, and maintaining the backend services that power the platform. Your work will directly impact system scalability, uptime, and overall customer experience.
  
What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and ASP.NET
• Develop scalable, high-availability backend systems supporting core platform functionality
• Work with SQL-based data models and backend integrations
• Apply solid multithreading and asynchronous programming patterns
• Collaborate with other backend engineers on architecture, performance, and reliability
• Contribute to platform improvements, refactoring, and technical best practices

  
What You Bring

• 5+ years of backend development experience using C#
• 3+ years working with SQL databases (Microsoft SQL preferred)
• Strong experience building REST APIs with ASP.NET
• Deep understanding of backend design patterns and system architecture
• Experience with Git and issue tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving mindset and clear communication skills

  
Nice to Have

• Experience with NHibernate or similar ORM frameworks
• Writing automated backend tests (unit and/or integration)
• Containerisation experience (AKS / Kubernetes preferred)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, APM, and SRE principles
• Experience with messaging systems and event-driven architectures
• Previous experience in the iGaming industry

• Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or Cosmos DB
