Our client is seeking an experienced Motor Claims Manager to lead the Motor Claims function.
Responsibilities - Lead and oversee complex and high-value motor claims, including bodily injury and liability disputes.
- Provide expert technical guidance on liability, BI assessment, vehicle repairs, reserves, and recoveries.
- Manage litigation support, legal correspondence, and represent the company in Maltese and English courts.
- Ensure claims handling aligns with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
- Drive cost control through effective vendor management, negotiations, and performance monitoring.
- Oversee claims processes, system workflows, payments accuracy, and operational controls.
- Conduct file reviews to reduce leakage and improve claim quality and reserving accuracy.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Motor Claims team to deliver high technical and service standards.
- Act as a key liaison with internal departments, external lawyers, surveyors, and industry bodies.
Requirements: - 7–10 years’ experience in senior motor claims roles, including team leadership.
- Degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, or related field (MQF Level 6) and a recognised insurance qualification.
- Strong expertise in motor liability, bodily injury claims, vehicle repair processes, and insurance regulation.
- Fluency in Maltese and English with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven experience in cost control, vendor management, and process improvement.
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and professional integrity.
