Legal Counsel

In this role, you will oversee the legal function, support regulatory compliance, and provide guidance across commercial, corporate, and licensing matters.

What you will do

• Provide legal advice to senior management on the Malta Gaming Act and other applicable laws
• Manage legal aspects of MGA licensing, renewals, and regulatory submissions
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including agreements with suppliers, platforms, and game providers
• Act as Company Secretary, maintaining corporate records and supporting board and shareholder meetings
• Identify legal risks and support dispute resolution
• Collaborate with Compliance, MLRO, Gaming Operations, and DPO teams while maintaining appropriate segregation of duties

What we are looking for

• Qualified lawyer admitted in Malta or another EU jurisdiction
• At least two years post-qualification experience in the gaming sector
• Knowledge of the Malta Gaming Act and EU regulatory frameworks
• Experience with company secretarial duties or EU licensing matters is a plus
• Strong legal analysis, drafting, and communication skills
• Must meet MGA fit-and-proper requirements
