An international Bank is looking to hire a Transaction Due Diligence Officer to join their growing team.
Responsibilities: - Conduct pre- and post-transaction due diligence to assess AML, sanctions, and financial crime risks, with a focus on corporate banking and trade finance.
- Review proposed and completed transactions to identify unusual activity or deviations from expected behaviour.
- Identify, document, and escalate transaction-related risks and red flags in line with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and Compliance guidance.
- Perform sanctions, adverse media, and counterparty screening, including ad hoc checks as required.
- Apply internal policies, procedures, and regulatory standards consistently in transaction monitoring activities.
- Maintain accurate and complete transaction due diligence records to support audits and regulatory reviews.
- Contribute to transaction monitoring reports and provide relevant information to Compliance and other stakeholders.
- Liaise with Compliance, Operations, and business teams to clarify transaction details and support timely issue resolution.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, further studies in Compliance, Financial Crime, or Finance are an advantage.
- 1–3 years’ experience in a financial institution, compliance, AML, or finance environment.
- Strong understanding of customer due diligence (CDD), AML, sanctions, and financial crime principles.
- Working knowledge of international sanctions regimes (e.g. OFAC, EU, UK, SECO).
- Experience analysing transaction patterns and identifying suspicious activity using manual and automated monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical and assessment skills, with the ability to make sound risk-based recommendations.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Experience using compliance, screening, and document management systems.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
