As an Application Support Specialist, you'll play a key role in maintaining and optimising the organisation's critical application landscape. You'll collaborate with technical and operational teams to enhance workflows, support system integrations, and ensure smooth application performance across the entire ecosystem.

Your work will directly empower analysts, supervisors, and leadership teams with more reliable workflows, better data, and smarter processes.
 
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Provide Level 1 & 2 support for business applications used across the organisation and by external stakeholders
  • Maintain, enhance, and build workflow rules, validations, and configurations across key systems
  • Work closely with end-users to optimise complex processes, test improvements, and introduce new automations
  • Document workflows, data maps, and technical considerations to ensure clarity and knowledge-sharing
  • Analyse new data mapping requirements and propose feasible technical solutions
  • Support the delivery of data collection and supervisory system projects on time and to high quality standards
  • Coordinate with Network, Security, Policy, and QA teams to ensure full alignment and secure system performance
  • Stay updated on system enhancements and user needs to recommend optimisation opportunities
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support databases, servers, file services, and other related technologies
  • Work with Data & Analytics teams to align system changes with reporting and insight needs
  • Handle daily administrative duties and assist with production issues when required
  • Participate in security assessments and help mitigate vulnerabilities within business applications
  • Assist in developing integrations (APIs), ETL processes, and enhancements to internal systems
  • Carry out any additional duties assigned by Technology & Information Security management
Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • An MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science, coupled with at least 3 years' experience OR - An MQF Level 5 qualification in Computer Science, coupled with at least 4 years' work experience
  • Proven familiarity with administering an Enterprise CRM or ERP platform including process flow design and implementation
  • Proven familiarity with Enterprise Web Applications as well as Database operations and SQL in a Microsoft stack environment
  • Be confident and articulate communicator capable of driving strong collaboration across multi-disciplinary functions
  • Be a strong communicator with superiors and colleagues
  • Have strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills
  • Be customer-service oriented
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Be a team player and offer knowledge sharing to the team
  • Be fluent in English and Maltese languages
  • The chosen candidate is expected to be confident in managing highly complex processes, involving cross-functional teams
