An international insurance company is looking to hire a Group Tax Reporting Accountant to join their team.
Responsibilities: - Manage group-wide tax compliance and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submission of tax returns and disclosures.
- Prepare and review corporate income tax and VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions.
- Lead quarterly and annual group tax reporting in line with IFRS/GAAP, including auditor liaison.
- Prepare current and deferred tax provisions and reconcile tax balances.
- Provide technical tax accounting support to group and local finance teams.
- Support monthly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting packs.
- Assist with group consolidation and statutory financial statements, focusing on tax disclosures.
- Support tax aspects of new projects, regulatory responses, and audits.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on reporting obligations.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and strong tax governance.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and outsourced providers.
Requirements: - Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA) strongly preferred.
- 3–5 years’ experience in tax reporting or tax accounting.
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax and accounting standards (IFRS / UK GAAP).
- Exposure to multinational tax environments; experience in multiple jurisdictions is an advantage.
- Understanding of transfer pricing and indirect taxation desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and judgement skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- High level of organisation and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
