  • opportunity to grow with a multiregulated Payment Solutions company
  • Working flexibility and perks
  • Great supportive team and real growth opportunities
Our client is a fast-growing, innovative fintech company delivering seamless payment solutions to businesses and users across multiple markets. With a strong focus on reliability, performance, and global scalability, they operate a sophisticated payment ecosystem that supports high-volume, multi-currency transactions in a dynamic and regulated environment. Known for their agile approach and commitment to operational excellence, our client is expanding their payments infrastructure and pursuing key regulatory milestones — currently in the process of acquiring a license in Australia, while actively advancing license applications for other jurisdictions too. This positions the company for significant international growth and enhanced credibility in regulated markets worldwide.

About the Role This is a highly operational, hands-on position focused on owning the day-to-day reliability and performance of payment integrations across gateways, acquirers, and alternative payment methods (APMs). You will serve as the internal go-to expert for live payment traffic, partner coordination, incident resolution, and continuous optimization — ensuring smooth production operations and supporting both new and existing integrations.
The role combines deep operational ownership with close collaboration across internal product, tech, risk, and merchant-facing teams, as well as external gateway and acquiring partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the full operational lifecycle of payment integrations (from onboarding and testing through go-live and ongoing production support)
  • Coordinate merchant setup, merchant configuration, routing rules, and transaction logic with acquirers and gateways
  • Configure and maintain cashier flows, routing strategies, and rule sets in collaboration with partners
  • Act as the primary operational contact for payment providers, acquirers, and merchants on integration and production matters
  • Monitor live payment performance, analyse declines and failures, coordinate incident response, and drive quick resolutions
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks across internal teams and external partners
  • Support onboarding of new PSPs, acquirers, and APMs, ensuring operational readiness
  • Assist merchants during technical onboarding, payment setup, and troubleshooting
  • Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of integrations, onboarding processes, configurations, and partner setups
  • Contribute to payment routing optimization, approval rate improvement, and overall ecosystem performance
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in payment operations, gateway operations, PSP/acquirer environments, or merchant services this is an absolute must
  • Solid understanding of the full payment lifecycle (authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, chargebacks, disputes)
  • Practical experience with MID management, merchant onboarding, and payment integration workflows
  • Proven track record supporting live production payment environments and resolving real-time issues
  • Experience working directly with acquirers, gateways, and PSPs in production settings
  • Ability to investigate and analyse payment declines, then coordinate fixes with partners
  • Good technical grasp of payment APIs, transaction flows, and integration concepts
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills — calm under pressure
  • Bonus: Experience in multi-market, multi-currency, or high-risk payment setups
What Our Client Offers
  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
  • Flexible working hours and early finish Fridays
  • 1 remote working day per week
  • Weekly complimentary lunch
  • Sports benefit or Wolt lunch allowance
  • Access to MadBenefits app (employee perks platform)
If you have strong operational experience in payments and are excited to join a forward-thinking fintech company that is actively expanding its global regulatory footprint (with licenses in progress for Australia, Canada, and Malta), our client would be very interested to hear from you.
Please apply with your CV and a short note highlighting your experience supporting live payment environments and working with gateways/acquirers.
