An international insurance company is looking to hire a Technical Accounts Operator to join their team.
Responsibilities: - Manage the monthly settlement cycle for client receivables and payables, ensuring timely collection and minimisation of aged debt.
- Prepare, validate, and issue inward and outward settlements in line with contractual and technical account requirements.
- Monitor, chase, and resolve outstanding debt, unallocated cash, and client feedback within agreed SLAs.
- Produce month-end management reports and compile data for insurance premium tax and levy submissions.
- Process premium and claims data and maintain accurate records within internal systems.
- Reconcile bank accounts and allocate settlements accordingly.
- Identify data quality issues and work with relevant parties to resolve them.
- Liaise with underwriters, MGAs, clients, and internal stakeholders, including participation in meetings and due diligence activities.
- Escalate risks, settlement issues, and client concerns as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, sanctions, financial crime, and governance requirements.
Requirements: - At least 2 years’ experience in the insurance industry.
- Working knowledge of reinsurance settlements; Lloyd’s market experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of credit control and settlement processes.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and reporting skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to change.
