Our client develops advanced tools and infrastructure supporting efficient, multi-asset trading environments for global financial participants, combining deep domain expertise with cutting-edge operational capabilities. This new initiative represents a strategic expansion into direct liquidity provision, requiring a visionary leader to establish and scale a state-of-the-art dealing operation.
About the Role:
This is a foundational, high-ownership executive role where you will build a brand-new dealing desk and risk management function from the ground up. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you will lead trading operations, recruit and develop a core team, design sophisticated risk controls, and ensure optimal execution and profitability in a competitive, high-volume trading environment.
The position demands deep expertise in forex and CFD dealing combined with strong technical and leadership skills to shape the infrastructure and processes for this confidential liquidity venture.
Key Responsibilities - Implement and manage execution models while owning overall P&L performance
- Establish and maintain relationships with liquidity providers, overseeing integrations and connectivity
- Monitor and control real-time exposure, slippage, and latency across all instruments
- Configure trading instruments including spreads, swaps, commissions, and markups
- Design and implement a classification framework for trading behaviors and strategies
- Develop trader behavioral profiles and maintain a strategy database
- Build a comprehensive risk metrics library (frequency, duration, win rate, risk/reward, event correlation, etc.)
- Enforce real-time exposure limits and monitoring
- Create automated alerts for anomalous or suspicious activity
- Define detailed business requirements for a custom risk monitoring and control system
- Work closely with development teams to specify and deliver system modules, triggers, metrics, and interfaces
- Create intelligent order routing logic to filter and manage toxic flow
- Manage LP connections, performance, and SLAs
- Ensure adherence to best execution standards and full regulatory compliance
- Develop automated real-time dashboards for operational visibility and decision-making
- Recruit, build, and lead a 3-person dealing team plus supporting back-office roles
- Define KPIs, implement training programs, and mentor team members
Required Qualifications - 5–10+ years of hands-on forex/CFD dealing experience at a brokerage or liquidity provider
- 5+ years of experience building and leading dealing desks or trading operations teams
- In-depth knowledge of execution models, book strategies, and liquidity provider integrations
- Expert understanding of common trading strategies
- Technical proficiency with FIX protocol, APIs, and aggregator architectures
- Proven track record of designing and implementing monitoring and risk management frameworks
- Solid grasp of industry regulatory requirements and compliance obligations
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
