A well-established regulatory authority is seeking an
BI & Data Analytics - Officer to join its Business Intelligence function.

The Role Reporting to the Senior Executive - BI & Data Analytics, you will support ongoing BI projects and contribute to both internal reporting and external data collection processes.
You will help ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data while collaborating with internal stakeholders, licensees, and data teams to maintain efficient data flows.
Key Responsibilities - Generate and collect internal data, perform cleaning and validation, analyse findings, and circulate dashboards on time
- Participate in external data collection processes, reviewing and validating data submitted by operators
- Coordinate with licensees to resolve inconsistencies or missing information
- Compile data from multiple internal and external sources
- Present KPIs using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Power BI (or equivalent tools)
- Assist in data formulation, collection, and analysis as required
- Analyse collected data to ensure relevance, minimise unnecessary reporting burden, and maintain clear data purpose
- Develop Power BI dashboards in consultation with internal business functions
- Liaise with the data engineer and data steward to ensure reliable end-to-end data flow
- Support additional duties as directed by senior leadership within the department
What We're Looking For - Degree-level education (MQF Level 6 or equivalent)
- Qualification in Statistics, Economics, or related field considered an asset
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, with proven experience analysing data and drawing conclusions
- Knowledge of Power BI or equivalent business analytics tools
- Comfortable working with internal databases and BI systems
- Ability to clearly present findings and recommendations (written and verbal)
- Strong ownership mindset and accountability
- Excellent command of English
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Maltese gaming regulations considered an asset
