Our client is looking to hire a highly experienced Head of Dealing to lead their dealing desk operations and drive execution excellence across their multi-asset CFD business. This senior leadership role reports directly to the CEO and serves as the operational backbone of the trading floor — ensuring sharp pricing, fast execution, and peak team performance in a regulated, high-volume environment. The company operates as a dynamic, multi-asset brokerage with a strong focus on innovation, user-centric technology, social trading features, and a global client base, continuously expanding its product offerings and market reach.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of dealing desk operations, including trade execution, order management, and pricing accuracy across FX, indices, commodities, equities, and crypto CFDs
- Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing dealing team with 24/5 coverage
- Establish and enforce execution policies, including slippage parameters, requote thresholds, and order handling procedures
- Design and implement the firm's core execution model to optimise client flow management
- Oversee execution routing logic and collaborate closely with risk management on flow allocation decisions
- Adapt execution strategies in real time during major market events (e.g., NFP releases, central bank announcements, earnings reports, geopolitical developments)
- Manage the trading technology stack (MT4/MT5, cTrader, bridges, aggregators, pricing engines)
- Partner with IT to ensure platform stability, minimise latency, and support system upgrades
- Evaluate, onboard, and maintain relationships with liquidity providers; oversee LP connectivity and pricing feed quality
- Own the dealing desk P&L, tracking revenue, spread capture, execution quality, and hedging costs
- Monitor and optimise key desk performance metrics
- Deliver regular performance reports and insights to senior management
- Ensure all dealing activities comply with regulatory requirements and best execution obligations
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of execution policies and procedures
- Collaborate with compliance on audits, regulatory reporting, and inquiries
Skills and Experience Needed - 7–10+ years in a dealing desk or brokerage environment, with at least 3 years in senior leadership
- Deep expertise in CFD execution models, client flow management, and liquidity aggregation
- Hands-on experience configuring MT5 bridges, pricing engines, and multi-platform execution systems
- Strong knowledge of FX, indices, commodities, equity CFDs, and multi-vertical markets
- Proven success building and developing dealing teams
- Commercial acumen — clear understanding of how execution quality drives revenue and profitability
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., CySEC, FCA, ASIC, or equivalent)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
