About the CompanyOur client is a fast-growing, international financial services organisation is looking to appoint a Head of Financial Control & Regulatory Reporting to join its senior Finance leadership team. You will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, strengthening controls, and driving the transformation and automation of the finance function within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
About the RoleOversee end-to-end accounting for the organisation’s balance sheet.
Responsibilities-Lead the preparation and audit of statutory financial statements
-Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, regulatory, and tax frameworks
-Oversee direct and indirect tax reporting across multiple jurisdictions
-Design and maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks
-Act as a key advisor on accounting, tax, and regulatory matters
-Manage relationships with external auditors and support audit processes
-Collaborate with internal teams to ensure appropriate financial controls are embedded
-Lead the regulatory reporting function across the organisation
-Ensure accurate and timely submission of all regulatory returns to supervisory authorities
-Own the end-to-end regulatory reporting process (including COREP, FINREP and related frameworks)
-Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and control documentation
-Interpret evolving regulatory requirements and implement necessary changes
-Act as the main point of contact for regulatory reporting matters
-Drive automation and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy
-Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team
-Define and execute a roadmap to enhance scalability, control, and efficiency
-Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership and governance committees
-Drive continuous improvement and automation across finance processes
Qualifications-Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent)
-Minimum 10+ years of experience within banking or financial services
Required Skills-Strong background in Financial accounting, Regulatory reporting, Tax
-Proven leadership experience (3–5+ years managing teams)
-Knowledge of IFRS, Regulatory frameworks (e.g. COREP, FINREP)
-Experience within Big 4 and/or fast-paced financial services environments is advantageous
-Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
