Our client is one of the most established, successful an innovative international fintech and technology companies wordwide with Head offices in Cyprus, operating for more than 15 years. They are looking to hire a Junior Lawyer to join their Legal Department and support a wide range of legal and corporate projects in a dynamic, international environment.
 
As a Junior Lawyer, you will provide practical, business-oriented legal support across various areas including contracts, corporate matters, compliance, and regulatory affairs. You will work closely with the existing legal team and internal stakeholders, contributing to the company's legal operations while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced fintech setting.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements (software licenses, NDAs, SLAs, employment contracts, leases, etc.)
  • Prepare internal corporate documents, including minutes, resolutions, and powers of attorney
  • Support interactions with regulators, company registrars, and corporate service providers
  • Assist with annual compliance obligations for international group entities
  • Support intellectual property matters, including filings, protection, and monitoring
  • Handle complaints, pre-litigation matters, and conduct legal research
  • Perform due diligence and ensure compliance with local and international legal frameworks
Requirements
  • LLB Law degree from an accredited university (LLM is a plus)
  • 2-3 years of legal experience, ideally a mix of private practice and in-house fintech 
  • Basic knowledge of commercial law, contracts, corporate governance, IP, and compliance
  • Membership in the Cyprus Bar Association is considered a strong advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong teamwork skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
