About the Role We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the global finance function. Reporting directly to the CEO and Board, you will oversee financial strategy, treasury operations, and financial control across multiple jurisdictions. This is a critical leadership role responsible for managing a large finance team across three locations while driving financial performance, risk management, and sustainable growth in a dynamic payments and acquiring environment.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Lead treasury operations, cash flow management, liquidity planning, and investment strategies
- Oversee financial reporting, consolidations, and compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
- Manage banking relationships, payment flows, and optimise working capital
- Lead financial risk management, including FX exposure, credit risk, and counterparty risk
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board
- Build and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures
- Oversee tax planning, compliance, and optimisation across multiple countries
- Lead the finance team (across 3 locations), fostering development, collaboration, and high performance
- Support fundraising activities, investor relations, and strategic M&A opportunities
- Ensure full regulatory compliance with financial and licensing requirements in all operating jurisdictions
Requirements - 8+ years of progressive finance experience in payments, acquiring, fintech, or banking
- Minimum 3- 5 years in a senior decision-making role (CFO, Deputy CFO, Head of Finance, or equivalent) within a payments or acquiring business
- Proven experience managing large finance teams across multiple locations
- Strong expertise in treasury operations, cash flow management, liquidity planning, and financial risk management
- Deep understanding of IFRS, regulatory reporting, and compliance in regulated financial environments
- Experience working with multiregulated entities (EU and UK licensing is a strong advantage)
- Strategic thinker with excellent commercial acumen and hands-on execution ability
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
