Key Responsibilities
As an IT Support Executive, you will be involved in a broad range of technical support and operational activities, including:
- Providing first-line technical support to users across multiple office locations via phone, email, and in person
- Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, network, and system-related issues
- Monitoring systems and responding proactively to alerts and incidents
- Escalating complex technical issues to the relevant internal teams or external vendors where necessary
- Installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining software applications, operating systems, and hardware components
- Assisting users with system usage and providing guidance or training where required
- Managing user accounts, permissions, password resets, and access rights across various systems and applications
- Supporting IT asset management, including maintaining inventory records for hardware, software licences, and peripherals
- Assisting with the implementation and enforcement of IT security policies and procedures
- Performing routine system maintenance and monitoring to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Collaborating closely with other IT teams and departments on cross-functional technical issues and projects
- Participating in an on-call support rotation to assist with critical after-hours support when required
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Previous experience providing IT support within an enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and general IT infrastructure
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and wireless technologies
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining software applications and hardware components
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with a service-oriented mindset
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A valid Category B driving licence
The following would be considered an asset:
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, MCITP, or similar
- Basic MSSQL query knowledge
