MLRO & AML Manager
Location: Malta (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Up to €85,000 + Benefits
 
We are currently supporting a leading organisation within the iGaming industry who are looking for an experienced MLRO & AML Manager to join their Compliance team in Malta.
 
This is a senior compliance position where you will take ownership of the AML/CFT and sanctions framework across multiple regulated European markets, ensuring the business continues to operate with strong risk based controls and regulatory standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as MLRO for relevant regulated markets, subject to regulatory approval
- Maintain and enhance AML/CFT and sanctions policies, procedures and controls
- Prepare, review and submit SARs, STRs and regulatory reports where required
- Manage relationships with regulators, FIUs, auditors and relevant authorities
- Maintain and review ML/TF Risk Assessments and Sanctions Risk Assessments
- Oversee customer risk controls including CDD, EDD, PEPs, sanctions screening and ongoing monitoring
- Provide AML guidance on new products, markets and operational changes
- Report financial crime risks and compliance updates to senior management and Directors
- Lead AML audits, reviews and remediation activities
- Support, develop and mentor AML team members
- Deliver AML/CFT and sanctions training across the business
 
Requirements:
- Strong AML/CFT experience within iGaming or another highly regulated industry
- Previous experience as an MLRO, Deputy MLRO, Financial Crime Manager or similar senior AML role
- Strong understanding of EU AML regulations and risk based compliance frameworks
- Experience managing CDD, EDD, sanctions, PEP controls, transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting
- Experience working with regulators, auditors and senior stakeholders
- Multi jurisdictional AML experience, particularly within MGA, Italy, Greece or Romania, would be highly beneficial
- Strong leadership, communication and decision making skills
