Boston Link is partnering with Growth Leads, a leading affiliate and lead generation company in the iGaming and finance verticals, to find a Backend Data Engineer (PHP/Symfony). This is a senior technical opportunity to take full ownership of data flows, API architecture, and internal tooling, building scalable, future-proof systems at the core of a growing data ecosystem.

Role responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines across structured and unstructured data sources.
• Build and maintain a canonical, extensible data model supporting long-term evolution and interoperability.
• Develop stable, versioned, and well-documented APIs for internal and external consumers.
• Implement automated data curation and enrichment workflows using ML, entity resolution, and anomaly detection.
• Build internal tooling and dashboards for data operations, quality control, and monitoring.
• Define and enforce engineering best practices around testing, schema governance, and deployment.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of PHP & PostgreSQL experience, with strong Symfony knowledge.
• Proven experience designing data ingestion pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and scalable backend architecture.
• Solid understanding of API versioning, reliability, backward compatibility, and data modelling.
• Experience with Redis, messaging systems, and observability/monitoring tools.
• Exposure to AI/ML techniques for data enrichment, classification, or anomaly detection is a strong advantage.
