Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead overall business operations in Cyprus and drive strategic growth across EMEA and key international markets. This is a pivotal leadership role with full P&L responsibility, focused on scaling the business, expanding client relationships, and strengthening the company's position as a leading risk management technology provider to the forex, CFD, and prop trading sectors. The ideal candidate brings deep industry networks, proven business development success in fintech/financial services, and a solid understanding of trading operations, dealing desks, and risk management frameworks. The successful candidates will be taking over a clear path for CEO role succession. Key Responsibilities - Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day operational management of the Cyprus office and regional activities
- Drive business growth through new client acquisition, key account expansion, and strategic partnerships in the forex, CFD, prop trading, and brokerage space
- Leverage and expand a strong professional network across brokers, liquidity providers, prop firms, and regulators
- Oversee commercial strategy, sales pipelines, and revenue growth initiatives
- Ensure close alignment between product development, client success, and market needs — particularly around risk, compliance, and trading operations
- Build and mentor a high-performing local and regional team (commercial, operations, and support functions)
- Manage P&L, budgeting, and operational efficiency
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and high-level meetings to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership
- Work closely with the founders and global leadership on long-term strategy, product roadmap priorities, and international expansion
- Maintain deep understanding of market dynamics, regulatory developments (CySEC and international), and risk management best practices in trading environments
What We're Looking For - 8+ years of senior experience in fintech, financial services, or the forex/CFD/prop trading industry
- Proven track record in business development, sales leadership, or general management with strong revenue growth achievements
- Extensive networking capabilities and existing relationships within the trading/brokerage ecosystem
- Solid understanding of dealing operations, risk management, hedging, exposure monitoring, and the technical/operational challenges faced by trading firms
- Experience working in or selling to regulated environments (CySEC, FCA, or similar) is highly advantageous
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities at C-level
- Cyprus or EU work eligibility (or willingness to relocate)
