Our client, a gaming company, is looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel focused on Privacy.
Responsibilities - Ensure compliance with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws across assigned entities, brands, and markets, acting as Data Protection Officer (DPO) where required.
- Draft, review, and negotiate data protection agreements, privacy policies, notices, and contractual clauses, while maintaining and improving internal privacy procedures.
- Provide expert legal advice on privacy matters, support business projects, conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and embed privacy-by-design principles across the organisation.
- Lead investigations into data breaches, customer complaints, and data subject requests, ensuring timely regulatory reporting and liaising with supervisory authorities where necessary.
- Conduct privacy due diligence on business partners, support mergers and acquisitions, and identify, assess, and mitigate data protection risks.
- Drive key privacy initiatives, contribute to the Group's privacy strategy, and mentor junior team members to promote best practices and continuous development.
Requirements - Qualified Lawyer with 4–6 years' experience in privacy or data protection law.
- Strong expertise in GDPR and global data protection regulations.
- Experience acting as a DPO or leading privacy compliance programmes.
- Proven ability to draft and negotiate data protection agreements and policies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in iGaming, financial services, or technology is considered an asset.
